Blackboard Academic Bulletin - April
2007 I’d like to invite you to visit the April 2007 issue of the Blackboard Academic Bulletin. This newsletter is designed specifically for both Blackboard and WebCT clients in higher education. Regardless of which product you have deployed, it’s my hope that you find its content relevant to the day-to-day management of your Blackboard solution. As a means to this end, the stories rely heavily on success stories from your peers and important product update information. To illustrate my point, this edition contains an interesting case study on how Grand Rapids Community College is moving beyond traditional Web searching with our new social bookmarking service, Scholar®. Another success story details how Northwood University worked with Blackboard Global Services to customize and deploy the entire Blackboard Academic Suite™ in just 12 months. Also included is a first-person narrative from one of our Blackboard Certified Trainers, an FAQ on the Blackboard Beta Program and details on Blackboard Support’s new wiki initiative. I hope the April edition lends some insight into both our latest technological developments and the innovative ways that your peers are leveraging that same technology. Along these lines, we’re very interested in your innovation story and also welcome any other suggestions on the type of content you’d like to see in our newsletters. Feel free to submit your suggestions to our editor-in-chief, Dan Mollen, at dmollen@blackboard.com. I’m looking forward to meeting with many of you at BbWorld in Boston in July. In the meantime, I hope you find this newsletter both informative and useful. Sincerely,
